What does an AI agent cost, and is it worth it for you?

You've heard about AI agents. Someone you know uses one in their business, you see them in ads, someone tells you theirs answers clients at night. You're interested, but one question holds you back: how much does it cost?
You search online and can't find a clear figure. Some talk about cheap subscriptions that turn out not to fit your case; others want a meeting before they'll give you a number. And even with a price, you'd still be missing the other half: knowing whether you'll earn it back.
Here you have both: our reference prices and a simple way to run your own numbers.
What it costs: reference prices
Every agent is built to order, so these are starting points. After our call we give you a fixed quote for your case. Prices exclude tax.
- Customer service agent (website, email and WhatsApp): from €1,500 setup and from €197 a month.
- Agent + CRM and sales follow-up: from €3,500 setup and from €297 a month.
There's no minimum term. You can cancel the monthly fee with one month's notice. From the first call to a working agent takes 2 weeks.
What's included
The customer service plan includes:
- Training on your services, prices, opening hours and the real questions your clients ask.
- Coverage of your website chat, email and WhatsApp, day and night. If one channel goes down, the others keep working.
- Collecting names and phone numbers, and alerting you when there's a client for you.
- Testing with simulated clients before it goes live.
- A dashboard with every conversation, plus monthly adjustments.
The CRM plan adds a record for every contact with their history, follow-up of people who asked but didn't buy, reminders and alerts for your team, and a weekly report on conversations, contacts and sales.
What drives the price
- Channels. Covering only your website takes less work than covering website, email and WhatsApp.
- What it needs to know. A business with five services is quicker to train than one with hundreds of products and rates.
- Connections. If the agent has to check your calendar, your CRM or your online shop, it needs to be connected to those systems.
- Follow-up. If you also want a CRM, reminders and reports, you move up to the second plan.
Run your numbers: what you're losing today
The useful question is how much money slips away each month because you don't reply in time. You can work it out with four figures from your business. Here's an example with assumed figures so you can see the method; swap them for your own.
- Enquiries per week that arrive out of hours or don't get a quick reply: 20.
- Of those, the share that go elsewhere because you didn't reply straight away: 30%.
- Of the ones you do handle, the share that end up buying: 25%.
- What a new client is worth to you: €200.
The sum: 20 enquiries × 4.3 weeks × 30% × 25% × €200 = about €1,290 a month, roughly 6 clients. In this example, the agent's fee, from €197 a month, is well below what's being lost. Your own numbers may come out higher or lower. That's why it's worth running them with real data.
What the research says
88% of organisations already use AI in at least one part of their business, according to McKinsey's "The State of AI" 2025. Gartner estimates that conversational AI will save $80 billion in customer service staff costs worldwide in 2026. And in Spain, small and medium-sized businesses using AI grew their sales by 7.25%, compared with 4.34% for those that don't, according to the IndesIA 2026 Barometer.
These studies cover businesses in general, not guaranteed results for yours. Your own numbers, though, are yours.
If you'd like to run them with your business's figures, book a demo. In 20 minutes we'll show you your agent, and afterwards we'll give you a fixed quote.
